The Law We Work Within
No blue lights. No sirens. No exceptions.
Blue lights and sirens are reserved for SAPS, metro and traffic police and emergency services. Under the National Road Traffic Act regulations, a registered security business may fit only a white, non-strobe lens bar marked “SECURITY”.
Our motorcades obey every traffic rule. We do not stop traffic or run red lights. Where a route genuinely needs a road closure or traffic control, that must come from the metro or traffic police, and we will tell you at the planning stage if your plan needs it.
A provider that promises blue lights is promising to break the law with your guests in the car.

VIP Motorcade FAQ
How much does a VIP motorcade cost in South Africa?
It depends on the number of officers, whether they are armed, the number of escort vehicles and the principal vehicles. Our published rates per 24-hour day are R3 000 for an unarmed close protection officer, R3 500 armed with a handgun, R4 000 armed with a rifle, R1 200 for a venue and door security officer, and R3 000 per escort vehicle within province or R5 000 out of province, driver included. Principal vehicles are quoted per engagement. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
Can a private security motorcade use blue lights and sirens?
No. Blue lights and sirens are reserved for law enforcement and emergency services. A registered security business may only fit a white, non-strobe lens bar marked “SECURITY”. Our motorcades obey every traffic rule, and any road closure or traffic control must be arranged with the metro or traffic police.
Can you escort a wedding car or limousine we have hired?
Yes. Choose our executive BMW or Mercedes-Benz V-Class, another vehicle from our fleet — which covers a range of standards to suit the occasion and budget — or have our escort vehicles and officers protect a vehicle you have hired. The escort vehicles run ahead of and behind it to a timed route plan.
Are officers armed at matric dances and school events?
We recommend unarmed, suited officers for matric dances, graduations and any event with minors, and many venues and schools do not permit firearms on site. The configurator defaults to unarmed for these occasions.
How far in advance should we book?
As early as you can, especially for December weddings, year-end functions and peak matric dance weekends — vehicles and senior officers are finite. Sending the configurator holds nothing until you accept a written quote, but it puts your date in front of our operations team immediately.
